Paradoxe offers a portrait of Laure, a gentle but intense soul. As she begins feminizing hormone therapy, Laure learns to tame the bodily, emotional and identity changes she’s experiencing.
*The main protagonist featured in the documentary has since changed her name for Laure.
About the director

Aimé Majeau Beauchamp has spent over five years in various roles—from researcher and director to cinematographer and producer—creating a variety of audiovisual content. Their keen interest in documentaries led them to produce the podcast J’en perds mes mots with the Franco-Ontarian media group TFO in 2020. A graduate of UQAM in political science and feminist studies, Aimé is mainly interested in social issues, culture and LGBTQ+ realities.
