Homophobia is a persistent issue in Arab and Muslim societies. However, many people from these communities also identify with the LGBTQ+ community. The short documentary HARAM explores the relationship between Muslim religious identity and queer sexual identities through discussions, testimonials and performance art.
About the director

Kenza is a Canadian-Moroccan film editor and director who graduated from Cégep du Vieux Montréal with a degree in communications and media studies. Through her projects, she explores issues related to disability and the LGBTQ+ community.
